Chords
When 2 or more notes sound together they make harmony. The harmony that we learn for Junior Cert' music is based on 3 notes played together.
These 3 notes when sounded together can be called triads or chords.

It's a good idea to number the chords 1-6. (We only learn these 6 chords).
But the correct chord names also need to be learned. Each chord is named after its bottom note. e.g. Bottom note of chord 1 is C so we call it a chord of C.
Chords 2, 3 and 6 are minor so we put a little m after.
